Hi, BC Canada with the goal of heading south to Panama. Then skip down to South America and then hop over to Africa or Europe (I'll decide which place first when the time comes}. I'd luv to include China if I can figure out how to do it on my bike. Apparently China ain't so welcoming for outsider bike touring. I'm 51 years old but not retired as the title might suggest. It just means that I have the freedom to do this trip at this time. And it's also very important to note that this journey is dedicated to my late Mother and the reason my bike is named "Helga Maria". It's also very fitting to be riding a KTM since my Mother and my bike's homeland is Austria. I will be in Kamloops til at least next week since I am getting my suspension rebuilt at Rider's Edge in Vernon and waiting for the parts to arrive. My stock '06 bike will get upgraded to the "S" suspension ... and a few other possible alterations. I will be mostly camping and living as low budget as possible so I can travel as long as possible. I am about 95% ready to go with just a few items left to get. The actual beginning of this story started in Alberta a few weeks ago, so I'll start by posting a few pics for those of you who haven't experienced this part of the world. All my worldy belongings are either sold or in storage at a friend's house and my actual address will be wherever my license plate is and hang my helmet....
